Lifan launches shared cars in Russia

Chongqing-based vehicle producer Lifan Group recently launched car-sharing services in Russia, Chinese news site thepaper.cn reported on Saturday.

Lifan, which has sought growth in Russia for more than 10 years, said it has joined forces with Russian car-sharing provider Lifcar and deployed 200 cars in the market, the company said. Lifan plans to add to 1,000 cars.

The car-sharing service will cost 0.7 yuan (.1) per minute for driving and 0.23 yuan per minute for parking, according to the report.

From January to September, about 1.13 million cars were sold in Russia, of which 11,200 units came from Lifan, the report said, citing industry data.
