A restaurant delivery man in southern China caught a robber armed with a knife bare-handed using only his skills in kung fu, according to a newspaper report.
The attack happened on Tuesday in the Baiyun district of GuangZhou, according to the report.
Two young men on a motorcycle approached a woman from behind and grabbed her gold necklace, witnesses were quoted as saying.
The victim fell and was dragged along the pavement for more than two metres until the necklace broke. Bleeding in pain with multiple injuries, she called out for help, the report said.
Kung fu delivery man went after the suspects on his electric scooter.
The robbers collided with a bus and fell from their bike, according to the article.
One of them charged at Kung fu delivery man with a knife, but he caught the robber by the neck and threw him to the ground.
The kung fu delivery man then sat on the suspect, pulling his trousers down to help limit his movement until the police arrived, the report said.
The kung fu delivery man was quoted as saying that he grew up in a village where he learned kung fu as a boy.
The second suspect was arrested later on Tuesday by the police, according to the article.
