Trade volume on the China-ASEAN Marine Product Exchange (CAMPE) reached more than 310 billion yuan (45 billion U.S. dollars) in 2016.
Of the total, spot trading surpassed 16,000 tonnes, totaling 766 million yuan, said officials with China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
CAMPE, based in eastern China's Fujian Province, started trial operations in March, 2015.
A total of 358 fishery companies and 2,187 dealers from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other ASEAN regions have used the exchange.
CAMPE has plans for new branches in Malaysia and Cambodia.
