The 13th China (Hangzhou) Inter-national Cartoon and Animation Festival attracted 1.39 million visi-tors from 82 countries and regions and saw deals worth 15.33 billion yuan (.33 billion) signed before it closed on Monday evening.

This year's festival included chil-dren's cartoon and cosplay contests — both China legs of international competitions.

Cosplay performing team Atsukine won the first prize for foreign contes-tants. They beat 11 teams in Spain to enter the finals in Hangzhou.

Big-name companies like Google, Facebook, Disney, DreamWorks and CBeebies all had booths at the festi-val. Domestic cartoon and animation companies, leading TV and online broadcasters such as CCTV, Alibaba, Tencent, Netease and Zhejiang Satel-lite TV all exhibited their products at the festival, which live-streamed some events to 5.27 million viewers worldwide.

Some animation films were screened in community cultural centers in towns and villages around Hangzhou.
