A group of 50 Mongolian journalists will start a week-long trip to China later this month to get a firsthand look at how innovation is changing various Chinese industries.

At a reception hosted for these media personnel by the Chinese embassy on Thursday, Ambassador Xing Haiming said he believed the trip will deepen the journalists' understanding of China as well as see the friendly feelings by the Chinese people toward the Mongolian people.

During President Xi Jinping's visit to Mongolia in 2014, China offered to invite 250 Mongolian journalists to China over five years.

Two delegations of Mongolian journalists, each comprising 50 members, have already visited China under the program in 2015 and 2016 focusing on different themes.

The upcoming China trip for this year's participants will include stops in Beijing, Guangdong and Zhejiang and an on-the-ground look at China's advanced technologies and innovation.
