For most car-obsessed couch racing junkies, the grandiose plan of owning the dreamed sports car just looks too far-fetched to materialize, economically.
But this Chinese man has found his own way to improvise, by converting a Kia into a "roadster" simply with car's roof cut off.
The man, surnamed Luo from southwest China's Yunnan Province, seemed quite satisfied with his fancy car, at least before he bumped into the traffic police while he was joyfully on a ride.
Luo turned tail and ran immediately, but the cat-and-mouse game soon ended after the police chased after him for as far as one kilometer.
Luo was later fined 400 yuan and deducted three points out of the annual traffic violation quota of 12 points.
Luo was not the first to create a DIY "roadster" in China. In 2015, a man surnamed Zhou from Xianyang, northwest China's Shaanxi Province was captured driving a minibus-turned "roadster"on the way.
