The Chinese army held a grand military parade at a training base in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Sunday morning to mark the 90th anniversary of its establishment.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, inspected the troops and delivered a keynote speech. Many Chinese who watched the live television broadcast of the parade, said they felt a deep sense of pride watching it.
A PLA veteran said, "The majestic military parade shows the strength and prosperity of the motherland. I feel proud of the fact that I used to be a soldier, and more proud that I dedicated my youth and passion to the motherland. I have praise for my homeland."
Meanwhile, a number of international media reported on China's grand military parade. Major news agencies in Russia including TASS and Sputnik, reported immediately after the parade started. Other major news agencies including AFP, CNN, Reuters and Bloomberg News also made key reports on the parade.
