Shanghai's longest running health education and promotion radio program celebrated its 25th anniversary recently, announcing it will visit more schools and communities to promote healthcare knowledge next year.
Shanghai Radio Station first introduced the program Mingyi Zuotang (Leading Doctors On-Air) in 1992, and it has hit the airwaves every Sunday, allowing the public to ask medical specialists questions.
In addition to radio, the program also organized free consultations that allow the public to talk to leading specialists face to face, and they set up an online community allowing people to raise questions online.
To better convenience the public and attract a younger audience, the program has reached more of the online community with a special app. Specialists also go to local schools to provide health education that young people are interested in.
