41-episode Mission of History set to hit TV screens

The 41-episode Lishi de Shiming (Mission of History) was aired on Beijing Satellite TV from Oct. 28.

The story, set in the 1930s, features a houseman, a rich young woman and a landlord's son among others.

Wu Jun, the director and writer of the series, said the series focuses on a group of young people in wartime.

Huang Weide, who is known for his role in the hit TV series Nirvana in Fire, plays the lead role, Tian Xiaoman, an earthy and passionate houseman.

The cast also features Bao Guo'an, Li Chengru, and actress Xi Meijuan, all veteran artists.
