China's 8th International Exposition of Museums and Relevant Products and Technologies opened on Nov 23 in Fuzhou, capital of southeast Fujian province, and will run through Nov 26.
The exposition attracted 613 museums and enterprises, as well as delegates from 42 countries and regions. They came to share recent achievements in conservation technology, development of cultural souvenirs, digital management, publication and many other areas of work.
The biannual event was organized by the Chinese Museums Association under supervision of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
Twenty-three other symposia will be held during the expo for professionals to exchange experiences in more specific fields in museum operation. The inaugural meeting of a Silk Road museum alliance is to occur during the expo as well. An alliance hosted by the National Museum of China will call for closer cross-border cooperation among musuems under the Belt and Road Initiative.
