An exhibition showcasing Chinese and Uruguayan artists was held in Beijing yesterday.
The event took place as part of a series of cultural exchange activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Uruguay.
The work of Ignacio Perez Gomar, a young artist from Uruguay, was a highlight of the exhibition.
His piece San Sebastián, constructed from iron wire, drew praise from event attendees.
The exhibition also marked Gomar’s maiden journey to China: "It is the first time I have been to China. I think this is a beautiful country and I enjoyed the experience,” he said.
