KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese delegation led by Culture Minister Sun Jiazheng met Malaysia's Arts, Culture and Heritage minister Rais Yatim here on Friday.

    This is the first time for Minister Sun to visit Malaysia officially, said Gu Hongxing, an official of the Chinese Embassy.

    "We not only discussed the specific project of cultural communication between the two countries, but also the establishment of the complete channel and efficient system for cultural communication and cooperation between the two countries," Minister Sun told at a press conference after the meeting.

    The two ministers shared an opinion that the cultural communication between the two countries benefit peoples of the two countries as well as Asia and the world.

    The countries in Asia have the commonness in the cultural heritage, so the two countries will promote the communication of the cultural heritage in Asia and voice Asian views on the international stage, Sun said.

    The Chinese delegation arrived here on Friday, and will leave on next Monday.
