YANGON, July 8 (Xinhua) -- A Singapore education fair will be held in Myanmar's two major cities of Yangon and Mandalay, reported the local weekly Voice journal in this week's issue.

Sponsored by the RV Center, which is an education agency in Yangon, the Singapore education fair will respectively take place in Yangon's Park Royal Hotel on July 12 and in Mandalay's Hill Resort Hotel on July 13.

The fair, which involves Singapore state and private schools, will include a seminar relating to a centralized examination program offered by the Singapore Education Ministry, the report said, adding that information with regard to the examination program will be directly available at the seminar.

Meanwhile, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) of Singapore has planned to open a branch institution in Myanmar, aiming to nurture more Myanmar experts in the future, according to an earlier report of the local weekly.

The move of the ITE, which stands an institution recognized by the Singapore Education Ministry as well as the international, is being assisted by the Myanmar domestic education company, it said, adding that such Singapore branch technical institution will resemble Myanmar's technical high school.

Myanmar student, who wins ITE diploma certificate, can continue to join Singapore Polytechnic School and the National University of Singapore for further pursuit of bachelor degree with technical subject, it also said.
