The city of Beijing is planning to build an international food street before the 2008 Olympic Games with restaurants offering dishes from all over the world.
　　
　　The Beijing News daily reports that the food street is expected to cover 50,000 square meters beside the Olympic Park.
　　
　　It will serve as both a supporting facility for the Olympics and a tourist attraction to introduce western food to more Chinese people and meet the growing demands of international visitors and residents.
　　
　　Beijing will also establish a center to train western-style food chefs as well as managerial and service staff from across the country.
