The New York Philharmonic Concert
Founded in 1842 by a group of local musicians led by American-born Ureli Corelli Hill, the New York Philharmonic is by far the oldest symphony orchestra in the United States, and one of the oldest in the world. For the Shanghai concerts, they will perform Beethoven's "Coriolan Overture," Mendelssohn's "Symphony No. 4, Italian," Tchaikovsky's "Symphony No. 6, Pathetique," Mozart's "Horn Concerto No. 2" and Brahms' "Symphony No. 4".
