Wu Bangguo presides over the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, capital of China, on Oct. 15, 2007. The congress, which opens here at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, will last seven days till October 21. (Xinhua/Ju Peng)
