Advisory-NPC & CPPCC Sessions

The 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the top political advisory body, will hold the closing meeting of the first session on Friday morning.

Delegations to the first session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC), or the parliament, will meet on Friday to mull over and negotiate a nominee list of the chairman, vice-chairpersons, secretary-general and members of the NPC Standing Committee, the president and vice-president of the People's Republic of China (PRC), and the PRC Central Military Commission chairman.

The lawmakers will deliberate the draft decision on a State Council institutional restructuring plan.

Senior officials of the Ministry of Education, All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Ministry of Land and Resources and China Banking Regulatory Commission will meet the press.
