The Chinese government announced Tuesday that it will donate half a million US dollars and disaster relief materials to the cyclone-struck Myanmar.
The relief materials, worth 500,000 US dollars, include tents, towel quilt and food.

The materials will arrive in Yangon, capital of the southeastern Asian country, on Wednesday.

At least 15,000 people have been killed in Yangon and Ayeyawaddy when cyclone storm Nargis swept Myanmar's five divisions and states on Friday and Saturday.

Earlier on Tuesday, Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao, expressed sympathies to their counterparts in Myanmar, vowing help and aid to Myanmar's reconstruction efforts.
