A pair of souvenir gold bars commemorating the first cross-Strait weekend charter flights from China's mainland to Taiwan were unveiled in Beijing on Wednesday, the Beijing Times report.

The gold bars each weigh 25 grams. One bar is embossed with a picture of the Great Wall and the name of the first airline company to fly from the mainland to Taiwan. The other has an image of Taiwan's Ali Mountain and the name of an airline company from Taipei. The national issue of the souvenir gold bars is limited to 1000 pairs, each valued at 16,800 Yuan (2447.6USD).
