Deputy Inspector General (DIG) police Nizam Shahid Durrani received injuries in the motorcycle blast outside his office on Sapni Road in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, the private TV Express reported.

Durrani was going to his office when he was attacked. His guard was also injured in the remote-controlled blast, according to local police sources.
According to sources, the dead body of a person who died in the blast and eight injured, including four policemen and four civilians, have been shifted to nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses have also reported aerial-firing after the explosion. Police are trying to determine the nature of the blast.
