'World's oldest person' dies in El Salvador(1)

Cruz died March 9, 2007. Cruz's age was based on the registry of her baptism, as there was no national population record in 1878 when her baptism was registered. Cruz, who worked as a midwife until the age of 100, has 13 children - 5 of whom are still alive - 60 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren, and 25 great great grandchildren and could become the longest living person ever if her age is certified by the Guinness Book of Records.
