Phase II Olympic ticketing begins in second half of October

The Phase II sale of Olympic tickets is expected to start in the second half of October. Customers who did not clear their payment for the Phase I tickets before the deadline, however, cannot take part in the purchase of Phase II tickets, said Rong Jun, director of BOCOG Ticketing Center on Sunday.

At the moment, a deadline for the Phase I payment collection has not been set yet. To ensure the rights of the applicants, BOCOG (Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad) will set the date according to the circumstances. "In any case, the deadline cannot be postponed indefinitely, as the follow-up work cannot be affected," he stressed.

BOCOG will give ticket buyers an opportunity to call a hotline -- 010-952008 -- to check their lottery and payment results so that they can complete their payment on time.
