Bedtime. But a weird and wonderful one. Two blue footed boobies and a lizard that survives on seaweed, together calling it a day. It can only be the Galapagos Islands. The enchanted isles where Charles Darwin germinated his theory of evolution.

World weary? Disillusioned? The Galapagos Islands are the place to be reminded of such words as “trust” and “innocence”. Like Africa, wildlife is the focus. Yet nowhere could be more different from the epic of predator and prey that prevails in Africa. Predators do not stalk-least of all man. So the creatures loll around as if in a perpetual trance-a telephoto lens is scarcely needed here. Of course appearances can be deceptive and many of the creatures must wrestle with cold treacherous seas to satisfy their need for a marine diet.
