Sixi and Yancun villages in Wuyuan County in Jiangxi province in the east of China were selected as the most attractive places in China, sources said.

Both villages are the sites of ancient hamlets around 18 kilometers away from Wuyuan County. There are 136 commercial buildings from the Ming or Qing Dynasty and a bridge built more than 400 years ago. Brick, stone, and wood engravings can also be seen in these villages. The essence of the Confucian school of thought is also apparent in these ancient constructions.
