Former chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Autonomous Region Leung Chun-ying claims that the current chaos and violence in the U.S. proves that the unrest in Hong Kong last summer clearly had backstage manipulators.

Unlike the well-equipped and highly-organized black-clad rioters in Hong Kong, U.S. protesters have "no helmets, no gas masks, no radio communication equipment, no Octopus cards (Hong Kong's local transit cards), no petrol bomb factories, no cash settlement on site, no clusters of amateur 'journalists,' nor medical teams,'" wrote Leung on Facebook.

"If you used to believe that the riots happened in Hong Kong over the past year had no driving force, no backstage manipulators, no financial backers, do you still believe it now?" asked the former HK chief executive.
