Huawei's CFO Meng Wanzhou leaves Canada for China

Huawei's chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou left Canada on Friday local time aboard a Chinese government chartered flight and is expected to arrive in China soon and reunite with her family "through unremitting efforts of the Chinese government," Xinhua reported.

Meng's house arrest in Canada ended on Friday after the U.S. Department of Justice dropped its request for her extradition.

She was arrested in 2018 at Vancouver International Airport at the request of the United States.
