As the epidemic has been brought under control in many places throughout China, film and television projects about fighting the novel coronavirus have been on the rise.

Film critics say these movies are popular because they portray the typical experiences of regular people as they battle the virus. Since they tend to have similar themes and stories, it is the details, narrative techniques, and compelling characters that will make them stand out and succeed at the box office.
