Major, the rescue dog of President-elect Joe Biden, is expected to be honored on Sunday by the shelter he came from, reports CNN.

The Bidens adopted the German Shepherd in 2018 from the Delaware Humane Association (DHA). The shelter and Pumpkin Pet Insurance are planning a virtual event to celebrate the future first dog in the White House.

The celebration is advertised as “the world’s largest virtual party for dogs” by the DHA. The "indoguration" event is scheduled for January 17, three days before the inauguration of Biden. The virtual party will be hosted by Jill Martin of NBC's "Today," according to CNN.

Major will not be the only dog in the White House. The Bidens also have Champ, another German Shepherd.

President Donald Trump is the first U.S. president in more than a century not to have a dog. Biden is now set to restore the norm after he moves into the White House.
