"I hope that happens," says Trump on rumors Meghan Markle will run for president in 2024

Former U.S. President Donald Trump said that if the rumors about Meghan Markle's potential 2024 presidential bid prove to be true, he would have a stronger feeling toward running in the next election, reports Fox News.

The Daily Mail quoted a British politician who claimed that Meghan met with Democratic operatives to explore a potential bid for president in 2024.

When interviewed by "Fox News Primetime," Trump commented Meghan that "I hope that happens. If that happened, I think I'd have an even stronger feeling toward running," but adding that he is not a fan of the former actress.

The former president would not confirm whether he planned to run again in 2024 at an earlier point in the interview.
