25,633 medical workers dispatched to Hubei amid coronavirus outbreak

A total(总计 zǒngjì) of 217 medical teams(医疗队 yīliáo duì) comprising 25,633 members(队员 duìyuán) from across China have been sent to central China's Hubei Province since the beginning of the novel coronavirus outbreak, said Wang Hesheng, the new director of the provincial health commission on Saturday.

Nine makeshift hospitals(方舱医院 fāng cāng yīyuàn) for patients with mild symptoms(轻症 qīng zhèng) have been put into use(使用 shǐyòng) in Wuhan City, admitting a total of 5,606 patients, added Wang.
