Football icon Diego Maradona dies at age 60

Former Argentina football (足球 zúqiú) great Diego Maradona died (去世 qùshì) at age 60 on Wednesday.

According to reports in local Argentine media, Maradona suffered a cardiac arrest (心脏骤停 xīnzàng zhòu tíng). He had undergone a brain surgery (手术 shǒushù) earlier this month.

Madarona was widely considered the greatest Argentine football player in history.

He led La Albiceleste to the 1986 World Cup, a competition in which he scored the "hand of God" goal against England.

In total, Maradona played in four FIFA World Cup tournaments and featured 91 times in all competitions (比赛 bǐsài) for Argentina, scoring 34 goals.
